Behshad Behzadi, PhD, is a distinguished computer scientist with expertise in algorithms, search ranking, natural language understanding, speech recognition, ML and generative AI.

He leads Google Cloud Vertex Applied AI, focusing on applying the latest AI advancements to customer experience and operations for enterprises.

Since joining Google in 2006, Behzadi has co-founded several groundbreaking AI products (Google Assistant, Google Lens, Google Smart Display, Next-Gen Assistant and GenAppBuilder) and played a key role in implementing Google's AI-first strategy.

Behzadi holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, and did post-doc research at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics.
