Anca-Ligia Grosu has focused her research on the application of biological imaging for providing an individualized, personalized radiation therapy. Investigating the radiosensitivity and radiation resistance of tumors by analyzing biological markers, and transferring the resulting data to radiation therapy planning by means of biological imaging (multiparametric MRT, multi-tracer PET, radiomics etc.) is the primary objective of her research activities. The personalized treatment with enhanced precision achieves a stronger impact on tumor tissue, with fewer side effects. Additional topics as high precision radiation therapy, radiosurgery, the combination of immunotherapy and radiotherapy as well as digital data management in radiation oncology (e.g. the electronic patient file) are also central points in Anca-L. Grosu’s scientific activity.
